Induction CD is top new media tool for modern marketing

West Lothian College and Sysnet saw off stiff competition to scoop the top prize in the New Media category at the Scottish Further Education Marketing Awards.
The innovative multimedia CD is the first of its kind to be used for student induction and was commended for its focus, rationale and direct link to reducing costs, increasing efficiency and social inclusion.

Based on a forward thinking and focussed set of requirements, Sysnet designed and produced a complete package including video footage, interviews, tour-guides and PDF documents all linked via an interactive menu system and custom soundtrack to create a comprehensive resource that is well structured and genuinely useful.

Sysnet MD, Peter Burtwistle commented at the dinner, "We are delighted that the project has received this national recognition, as it has had a real impact at West Lothian on a number of fronts. Our congratulations go to the team at West Lothian College and Sysnet for producing such an excellent product."

Along with the New Media award West Lothian College received "highly commended" awards in two other categories.
