Snagmaster™ helps handover of largest construction project in Scotland.

Snagmaster™ scored a double-whammy this month by not only helping Laing O'Rourke handover the 860 bed Forth Valley Royal Hospital near Falkirk on time, but also by being a local company.

With the project having a goal of employing 60% of subcontractors from within a 30 mile radius of the project, Snagmaster™, having it's home base at Alba Innovation Centre in Livingston, hit the mark.
The flagship site is vast, comprising 18 buildings (or blocks), an Energy Centre and a Service Tunnel. Snagmaster™ played an essential role in managing the 100 or so subcontracted companies effectively, allowing management of work by subcontractor, by block, or by package manager over an 18 month period.

Peter Burtwistle, Product Manager for Snagmaster™ comments "We are absolutely delighted and extremely proud that Snagmaster™ has played a part in this flagship project, right on our own doorstep. In keeping with the community spirit of the project we worked closely with the team onsite and actually made some changes to the system to help the team manage the project in a way that suited this particular contract."

Forth Valley Royal hospital will eventually replace the current Stirling Royal Infirmary and Falkirk District Royal Infirmary, which will be refurbished and converted to become community hospitals and it is hoped that Snagmaster™ will provide local support for these projects too.

Other local community projects that Snagmaster™ has been used on include West Lothian Civic Centre and twelve school rebuilds in Edinburgh and Perth & Kinross.
