Perfect homes made perfect with digital pen and paper

Taylor Woodrow select Sysnet Snagmaster™ for prestigious waterfront development

Taylor Woodrow have selected Sysnet Snagmaster™ to achieve a perfect fit and finish in all 320 of the luxury flats being developed by them at their Glasgow Harbour site - part of the Clyde regeneration project.
The use of Snagmaster™ complements the site's use of Sysdox™, Sysnet's construction data management system.

The system uses digital pen and paper to linked to a secure database to record, delegate and control the resolution of defects on the site. The system incorporates the latest in handwriting recognition to eliminate the need for manual data entry and is internet based, so information is available to all parties via a web site.

"We are always looking for ways of using new technology to help us and Snagmaster™ really fits the bill as it is so simple for the guys to use onsite and takes away a lot of the hassles traditionally associated with snagging." comments Iain McNab, Planning Manager.

"Snagmaster™ is the first shrink wrap digital pen and paper solution for the construction industry and is the first of a range that Sysnet will be introducing" says Peter Burtwistle, Managing Director of Sysnet. "The Construction sector is one that we have worked with for a number of years, and we are well placed to help take the industry forward in this area."

The system has caught the attention of COMIT (Construction Opportunities for Mobile IT) a DTi funded group of over 30 construction related organisations looking at ways of establishing best practice in the use of mobile technologies, of which digital pen and paper is one. The Glasgow Harbour project will be published later in the year as a national case study.
